
Edge Metalworks is currently seeking a Delivery Truck Driver to play a critical role in our customer’s satisfaction by ensuring the prompt, safe, and professional delivery of products to their promised destination.
This position is for a 26,000# straight truck (no CDL required) and involves helping with loading and unloading. Deliveries are all local, with 90% within a 30-mile radius. Be home every night!
The hours can be somewhat flexible to accommodate the right candidate, with options for either a full-time position or part-time position with 30 hours.

Position Purpose
The Delivery Truck Driver is a self-motivated professional with strong people skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This role partners closely with production, shipping, and receiving teams to ensure accurate, safe, and timely deliveries. You will interact directly with customers, making professionalism and attention to detail essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts to load and unload delivery trucks
- Verify order accuracy, quality, and count before delivery
- Wrap and secure products as needed
- Load, strap, and operate delivery trucks in compliance with DOT standards
- Safely deliver products primarily within a 30-mile radius
- Complete accurate documentation of deliveries and mileage
- Monitor truck maintenance and report service needs
- Maintain a clean and organized delivery truck
- Ensure customer and vendor safety during loading/unloading
- Work closely with shipping and receiving team members to meet deadlines
- Represent Edge Metalworks through professional appearance and customer interaction
- Follow all company policies, safety guidelines, and objectives
Requirements
- High school diploma (Associate’s degree in a technical field preferred)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a DOT physical
- Strong attention to detail to verify and complete orders
- Ability to load and unload trucks using a forklift in accordance with DOT standards
- Professional communication skills and ability to represent the company with customers
Preferred Qualifications
- 1–2 years of forklift operation experience
- 1–2 years of experience driving a 26k truck
- Prior shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements
- Lifting to 50 lbs when loading/unloading materials
- Must meet DOT health and driving requirements
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, and work on concrete floors
- Siting for extended periods while driving
- Frequent climbing on and off trucks and forklifts
- Ability to drive in inclement weather when required
