Part Time

Student Ministry Coordinator – Pickerington Campus

Vineyard Christian Fellowship

About this Role

Vineyard Christian Fellowship

The Student Ministry Coordinator at our Pickerington Campus is a part-time (32 hours/week) ministry leadership role that plays a key role in helping students discover and follow Jesus during some of the most formative years of their lives. This person will provide leadership, discipleship, and support for students in grades 6–12 at our Pickerington Campus, creating environments where students can grow in faith, build meaningful relationships, and experience authentic community.

Working closely with the Lead Pastor for our Pickerington Campus and the broader VC Students Team, the Student Ministry Coordinator will lead weekly student programming, support discipleship initiatives, develop and care for volunteer leaders, and help connect students to larger church-wide events and experiences. This role blends relational ministry with practical leadership, requiring someone who loves students, enjoys building teams, and can bring both creativity and organization to ministry environments.

This is an exciting opportunity to invest in the next generation by helping students take meaningful steps in their faith while building a safe, engaging, and spiritually formative ministry culture for students and families.

About us:

Vineyard Columbus exists to develop multiethnic communities of disciples who experience God, love one another, and partner with Christ to heal the world.

Our Pickerington Campus is located in a rapidly growing suburban community serving people from Pickerington, Reynoldsburg, Canal Winchester, Lithopolis, Baltimore, and surrounding areas. The congregation reflects the diversity of its community and values worship, discipleship, service, and life together across generations.

Beyond weekend services at multiple locations across Central Ohio, we serve our neighbors through ministries that address practical needs while creating opportunities to share the love of Jesus in tangible ways. We are committed to cultivating Christlike unity, celebrating diversity, and helping people flourish as they pursue God’s calling in their lives.

Who we’re looking for:

We are seeking a spiritually mature, team-oriented leader who is passionate about helping students encounter Jesus and develop a lasting faith. The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships with students, equipping volunteers, and creating environments where young people feel known, valued, challenged, and connected.

This person is equally comfortable building relationships and managing details. They are energized by leading teams, coordinating ministry details, and helping create engaging experiences that encourage discipleship, outreach, and spiritual growth. They thrive in collaborative settings, communicate clearly, and bring a positive, flexible attitude to the changing rhythms of student ministry.

The ideal candidate is also a developer of leaders who enjoys recruiting, training, and empowering volunteers to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students. They understand that healthy ministry is built through healthy teams and are passionate about helping others discover and use their gifts.

Most importantly, this individual demonstrates a genuine love for students, a commitment to personal spiritual growth, and a desire to help the next generation become lifelong disciples of Jesus.

Desired qualifications:

* Passion for helping middle and high school students grow in their relationship with Jesus.
* Demonstrated experience in student ministry, church leadership, or related youth programming.
