The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
This role helps to foster self-reliance, care for the poor and the needy, and
provide opportunities for giving and service by: helping members become
economically and emotionally self-reliant; providing access to essential food
and clothing items, helping members prepare for and respond to disasters; and
providing humanitarian aid to relieve suffering; thus furthering the mission of
the Church. The Store Manager facilitates the direction and implementation of
service plans associated with Deseret Industries stores and their partnerships
with local priesthood leaders. The results of this partnership drive greater
focus on caring for the poor and needy, fostering self-reliance for Associates,
and encouraging service to others (volunteers, service missionaries, etc.).
He/she will manage and develop leadership talent, execute proven operational
processes and strategies, model professional behavior and communication with
priesthood and Relief Society leaders, assist the Development team to identify
and establish local business networks for outplacement opportunities for
Associates and leverage other operational support teams (Fleet Services,
Recycling, Merchandising, Project and Construction Management, Safety, Human
Resources, etc.) to refine service plan execution and profitability. The store
manager seeks and accepts ownership and accountability for net income, associate
outplacements, and the leadership of a management team built to drive
organizational competence, integrity and resourcefulness.

kingdom.
