SUMMARY
The Station Hill Next Generation and Student Minister is responsible to the church, under the direction of the South Region Associate Executive Pastor, for implementing and evaluating a comprehensive Disciples Multiplying Disciples Strategy (DXD) for Preschoolers through High School students and for championing the church/home partnership at the Station Hill Campus. This minister must align the ministries he oversees with the overall mission of the church while working with age-graded ministers and volunteers in developing appropriate venues for the execution of the DXD Strategy. In addition, this position will align the discipleship strategy for preschool through students and will direct the implementation of Family Ministry initiatives at the campus. The role is also designed to maintain the vision determined by the church for encouraging and equipping all families to make the home the center of godly influence. This vision has been shaped and developed by our DXD strategy and Family Ministry strategies. This minister must align the ministries they oversee with the overall mission/vision of our church, Next Generation Ministries DNA, and Ministry Safe Policies. 
 
NEXT GEN RESPONSIBILITIES may include but are not limited to the following:
* Grow spiritually and model to the church, staff, leaders, and parents a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ.  
* Equip and lead the ministerial and administrative staff that serve in our age-graded ministries of Embrace, Preschool Ministry (birth through kindergarten), Kids Ministry (grade 1 through grade 5) and Student Ministry (grade 6 through grade 12).  
* Work with each age-graded ministry to fully develop and implement the DXD strategy to ensure alignment between the Next Gen ministries and Brentwood Baptist Church. 
* Work with each age-graded ministry to fully develop Family Ministry strategies and elements to ensure that they are aligned with the overall church-wide objective to leading families in making the home the center of godly influence.   
* Lead this ministry to oversee enlistment and equipping of teams of lay leaders to carry out the goals and objectives of Family Ministry initiatives.   
* Serve as the primary driver and champion of Family strategies for the campus to ensure that all ministry programming, catalytic events, environments, and branding champion the church/home partnership. 
* Work with each age-graded ministry to ensure that the transition years of adolescent development and growth are recognized, celebrated, and families are best equipped.   
* Lead all age-graded ministries in leadership equipping and next-level leadership development as it relates to lay leadership training.  
* Oversee the structures that support the preschool, children, and student ministries, including strategic goals (reviewed semi-annually), budgets (reviewed monthly and annually), and use of facilities for ministerial purposes.  
* Supervisory responsibilities include Station Hill Embrace Coordinators, Preschool Minister, Kid’s Minister, and Next Gen Administrative Assistant. 

STUDENT MINISTRY RESPONSIBILITIES may include but are not limited to the following: 
* Model a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and provide spiritual leadership to the student ministry staff, students, leaders, and parents.
* Lead the vision, strategy, and execution of Station Hill Students by implementing the Disciples Multiplying Disciples (DxD) strategic framework through gospel conversations, groups, going, gathering, and giving (5Gs).
* Oversee and coordinate the recruitment, vetting, and training of all Student Ministry workers in alignment with MinistrySafe policies and procedures.   
* Develop and deploy student ministry leadership, create new groups, oversee curriculum, and prepare experiences that are engaging, creative, and biblically applicable to students  
* Give direction to student ministry leadership in the areas of enlistment, equipping, mobilization, and encouragement; having as the goal to place each leader in their area of giftedness. Leaders in any aspect of Student Ministry (regular programming, fellowships, Catalyst Events, and Mission Journeys, etc.) are to be vetted, equipped, and have knowledge of our core values. 
* Plan, execute, and strengthen Station Hill-specific pathways for students, including weekly programing (Sunday AM, Big Wednesdays / Student LifeGroups, 5:22 Sunday Evening Group, etc.), catalyst events, and ministry / mission opportunities.  
* Collaborate with campus and regional Next Gen Team Leader and Ministers to ensure alignment of ministry philosophy, strategy, curriculum, events, and spiritual formation initiatives across all campuses.
* Provide counseling, care, support, and encouragement to students and their families as needs arise.
* Oversee the administration of the Student Ministry, including strategic planning, budgeting, facility usage, curriculum approval, and ministry operations, while supporting the budget development and alignment of Preschool and Children’s Ministries.
* Champion student involvement in the life of the church by encouraging and coordinating opportunities for students to serve in worship, ministry, missions, and church-wide initiatives.

FAMILY MINISTRY:
* Work with each ministry in the church to fully develop Family ministry strategies and elements that are aligned with the overall Church-wide objective in leading all families in making the home the center of godly influence. 
* Lead this ministry to oversee enlistment and equipping of teams of lay leaders to carry out the goals and objectives of the Family ministry initiatives. 
* Serve as the primary driver and champion of the Family ministry strategies for the campus to ensure that all ministry programming, catalytic events, environments, and branding champion the church/home partnership.
* Work with the Family ministry leadership team to ensure implementation of vision and strategy at the Station Hill Campus.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES may include but are not limited to the following:
* Serve as a contributing member of Station Hill ministerial team.
* Lead regular ministry team meetings that promote communication, alignment, collaboration, and accountability.
* Report to the South Region Associate Executive Pastor at each Review Period on team progress and initiatives. 
* ollaborate with the communications team and any other ministry teams to ensure effective promotion and communication of ministry opportunities.
* Be available for preaching and development opportunities at the Station Hill Campus as directed by the Campus and Teaching Pastor.
* Be available to serve the church as a decision counselor, pastoral counselor, on-call minister and on-site minister (as assigned). 
* Perform weddings, funerals, preaching opportunities, and other ministerial functions as assigned.
* Complete other duties as assigned by the South Region Executive Pastor.

QUALIFICATIONS:
* A mature and growing follower of Jesus Christ who demonstrates the fruit of the Spirit and a commitment to the spiritual disciplines.
* A clear calling to vocation ministry and a passion for discipling the next generation.
* A strong understanding of family ministry, discipleship, leadership development, and age-graded ministry philosophy.
* Proven ability to recruit, develop, and lead both staff and volunteers.
* Demonstrated ability to provide strategic leadership while maintaining strong relational ministry.
* Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Commitment to the mission, vision, values, theology, and ministry philosophy of Brentwood Baptist Church.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
* Bachelor’s degree required.
* Seminary training preferred.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of leadership experience in student ministry, next generation ministry, or comparable ministry leadership role.
* Experience leading staff, volunteers, budgets, and ministry strategy in a larger church context preferred.
