Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Shades Mountain Baptist Church – Birmingham, AL 35216Position Type: Full TimePosition Type: Full Time (Non-Exempt- 40 hours/week) Direct Supervisor: Missions Pastor Position Summary: Under supervision of the Missions Pastor, provide administrative and logistical support to assist in the planning and direction of missions for the church, specifically in the areas of Community Outreach and City Ministry. Position Profile: Strong organizational skills and personal initiative Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel Ability to multi-task Self-aware, humble, and teachable Exhibit a growing and mature relationship with Jesus Christ Calling to ministry in the local church Responsibilities: • Oversee all administrative and logistical needs for the Community Outreach and City Ministry. • Answer phone calls, respond in a timely manner to all voicemail and email inquiries. • Complete financial forms needed for the Finance Office. • Manage facility management database needs for activities and special events. • Oversee administrative needs for Kids Kamp and After the Bell including enrollment and financial databases. • Provide program support for Kids Kamp and After the Bell including, but not limited to, occasional front desk coverage and shuttle driving to pick up program participants. • Manage information on websites, pages, and links related to Community Outreach and City Ministry. • Assisting in the training experiences offered through the Missions Office. • Looking ahead on the event calendar and meeting schedule and handling details as assigned. • Help in the execution of Global Impact Catalyst. • Aid in Church Office front desk coverage. • Attend team meetings regarding planning, preparation and direction of the Missions Office as a whole. • Perform other duties that may benefit the church and/or Missions Office as directed by the Community Outreach Director, City Pastor or Missions Pastor.
