Through a Christ-centered approach, this position develops students’ understanding of digital citizenship, servant leadership, and responsible technology use while preparing them to become effective leaders who reflect the Warrior Way and biblical principles. Essential Functions Teach Digital Life Skills and Leadership curriculum to all sixth-grade students. Integrate biblical principles, servant leadership, and The Warrior Way into daily instruction. Teach digital citizenship, online safety, media literacy, and ethical technology use. Develop students’ organizational, study, productivity, and executive functioning skills. Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction that meets diverse learning needs. Create lesson plans, instructional materials, assessments, and classroom resources aligned with curriculum standards. Evaluate student progress through assessments, projects, and classroom performance. Maintain accurate attendance, grades, discipline, and student records. Utilize educational technology platforms, productivity software, and learning management systems to enhance instruction. Maintain current curriculum documentation, including Rubicon Atlas or other curriculum management systems. Foster a positive classroom culture that promotes respect, responsibility, collaboration, and student engagement. Communicate regularly with parents through email, school communication platforms, conferences, and phone calls. Collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, instructional technology staff, and school leadership. Assist the Technology Department with basic technology support, device management, and troubleshooting as needed. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, school events, and assigned duties. Maintain professional growth by staying current on instructional practices, educational technology, and digital citizenship. Support the mission, vision, and Christian philosophy of Liberty Christian School. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of middle school instructional strategies and adolescent development. Knowledge of digital citizenship, technology integration, and educational technology best practices. Understanding of current instructional technologies, hardware, software, and classroom applications. Ability to effectively integrate technology into classroom instruction. Strong classroom management and student engagement skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to establish positive relationships with students, parents, faculty, and staff. Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills. Ability to differentiate instruction to meet varying student needs. Ability to collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Apple platforms, and educational software. Ability to analyze student performance data and adjust instruction accordingly. Commitment to continuous professional growth. Demonstrates a mature Christian faith consistent with the school’s Statement of Faith and serves as a positive Christian role model. Education and Experience Required Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Valid teaching certification or eligibility to obtain appropriate certification. Experience teaching in a classroom environment. Demonstrated proficiency using instructional technology. Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Education, Educational Technology, Instructional Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Previous experience teaching middle school students. Experience teaching leadership, technology, computer science, or digital literacy courses. Experience with Apple devices, Google Workspace for Education, and learning management systems. Physical Requirements and Work Environment Work is performed primarily in a classroom and climate-controlled school environment. Frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, bending, and moving throughout classrooms and campus. Regular use of computers, interactive displays, tablets, and other instructional technology. Ability to lift and carry instructional materials and technology equipment weighing up to 30 pounds. Regularly communicate verbally and in writing with students, parents, faculty, and staff. Ability to maintain visual focus for reading, computer work, and classroom supervision. Ability to supervise students in classrooms, hallways, outdoor activities, and other school settings. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced educational environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. Must maintain confidentiality of student, employee, and school information in accordance with school policy. Must be able to maintain emotional composure and professionalism in a fast-paced school environment. 10-month, full-time position. Qualifications
