This is a Full-Time Days position with shifts Monday-Friday from 8-5 p.m. Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center combines the clinical breakthroughs of the number one cancer center in America and the full resources of North Florida’s largest and most preferred health system. Responsibilities of a Medical Assistant include: -Providing nursing assistance to the physician and APP. -Obtaining vital signs, weights, and heights. -Greeting and chaperoning patients as needed during medical visits. -Documenting in the medical record as indicated per role. Responsible for sending treatment start and stop letters to referring physicians. -Conducting HCG tests as needed, processing requests, referrals, and helping with FMLA paperwork. -Cross training with the Medical Records Coordinator and assisting as and where needed. -Floating/rotating between clinics as needed. Education & Credential Requirements: High School Diploma Required Basic Life Support (AHA) Required Certified Medical Assistant Preferred Primary Location: Downtown – BMDA Building Baptist Health’s care for the community spans generations.
