Summary
The LMDJ Ministry Specialist as primary program coordination and administrative support to the Love Mercy Do Justice (LMDJ) ministry initiatives team and corresponding committees and commissions. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: plan and coordinate ministerial initiatives; compile data for statistical reports; grant administration support; logistical coordination of racial righteousness experiences; public relations; limited accounting/bookkeeping; and implementing marketing and communication strategies related to LMDJ ministries. While this role has a focus on the LMDJ mission priority, the role may offer occasional event support in collaboration with the Serve Locally administrative team as we serve the church as a whole with our ministries.
Location & Work Arrangement
This is a hybrid position based at the ECC office. The LMDJ Ministry Specialist will work two days per week in the office and three days remotely, with flexibility required for ministry events, conferences, partner engagement, and other in-person gatherings as needed.
Essential Functions
· Represent Love Mercy Do Justice in a professional, hospitable, and courteous manner in all forms of communication methods.
· Perform administration and program coordination functions of LMDJ that include general administration such as, office organization and management, recordkeeping of digital files, inventory, materials, correspondence (internal or external), meeting minutes accuracy, responsive to all types of inquiries and service needs. Other items:
o Process permission requests for copyrighted material used by LMDJ.
o Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies and implement in collaboration with director.
o Develop and maintain a procedures manual for the role’s responsibilities
o Manages master calendar for LMDJ
· Coordinates internal communication for implementation of marketing, communication, mailing, media, operational and recruitment efforts.

Support the grant management lifecycles through process and status tracking including learning the Foundant software
· Strengthen connections, collaboration, and communication across LMDJ’s network by:
o Helping to cultivate relationships/partnerships;
o Creating LMDJ resource directory for constituency;
o Participate in cross-ministry and organization-wide planning and strategy discussions
o Implementing marketing and communications strategies that increase awareness of LMDJ’s initiatives
· Coordinate LMDJ’s social media presence (Instagram/Facebook/Youtube) by scheduling and posting content that highlights LMDJ initiatives, events, resources, and missional stories
o Monitor engagement by responding to inquiries across platforms.
· Manage the editorial process for LMDJ’s digital newsletter by:
o Maintaining the editorial calendar and coordinating the flow of content from planning through publication;
o Communicating with prospective contributors, sharing submission guidelines, deadlines, etc.
o Managing the receipt, organization, and distribution of submissions to ensure timely publication;
o Collaborating with the Communications team on shared content opportunities (Christian holidays, ethnic awareness months, etc.)
· Collect and compile program data, evaluation results, and other relevant information; prepare reports and summaries to support ministry planning, decision-making, and impact reporting.
· Perform basic bookkeeping responsibilities including expense/revenue reconciling, processing checks, processing reimbursements accurately and in a timely manner.
· Coordinate logistics and implementation for new and recurring ministry initiatives, events, and experiences.
o Develop and maintain project timelines, task lists, and event logistics to support successful implementation.
o Coordinate registrations, facility reservations, vendors, materials, and other event logistics; identify potential issues and communicate recommendations to the director.
o Prepare budget estimates and logistical information to support ministry planning and decision-making.
· Oversee registration, all logistics, marketing and communication for events, experiences, and ministry trainings.
· Facilitate events and meeting logistics (registration, reservations, catering, etc.) and coordinate and set up promotional exhibits and workshops at ministry conferences.
· Collaborate with other mission priorities to support alignment that contributes to the overarching mission of Serve Locally.
· Other duties as assigned, by the directors of Love Mercy Do Justice and/or Serve Locally Manager of Administration
Requirements
Education and Experience
Required: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a Business Administration, Nonprofit Leadership, Business or related field/experience. At least 3 years of relevant experience in an administrative/project coordinator role with heavy customer service emphasis, or 2 years in a similar role within a nonprofit or ministry setting. Experienced proficiency with Microsoft365, Excel, Teams, Windows applications, and technology confidence. Valid driver’s license.
Preferred: Experience in a ministry and nonprofit setting. Minimum three (3) year personal engagement with the ECC. Spanish language competence – read, speak and write.

Environment Conditions
This position operates in a hybrid work environment, requiring two days per week in professional office setting and three days per week remote. The role requires regular collaboration with colleagues, participation in meetings, and occasional in-person events and gatherings. Occasional domestic travel and evening/weekend engagements. Must be versatile and able to work for prolong segments sitting, walking, or standing. Must engage frequently with office tools and equipment, such as: computer, copier, phone, printers, etc. Must be able to occasionally lift or move items, less than 40lbs.
