Leads and oversees the parish’s sacred music ministry, providing music for major liturgies and directing
choirs and ensembles in accordance with Catholic worship principles.
Responsibilities:
Plans and leads music for Sunday Masses, funerals, weddings, and Holy Days.
Plays organ or piano and directs choirs, cantors, and musicians.
Trains and recruits parish music ministers.
Collaborates with clergy and liturgy committees to plan worship services.
Promotes participation and spiritual growth through sacred music.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Music or equivalent experience required; Master’s preferred.
Proficiency in organ and choral direction.
Strong knowledge of Roman Catholic liturgy and sacred music repertoire.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
