What You’ll Do
As a Direct Support Professional, you’ll provide compassionate support that helps individuals live safely, comfortably, and independently while promoting their personal goals and choices.
Responsibilities include:
Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal preparation
Encourage independence while providing respectful and person-centered support
Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment
Monitor and report changes in residents’ health, behaviors, or needs
Assist with transportation to appointments, community outings, and activities
Collaborate with healthcare professionals and team members to provide well-rounded support
Help individuals participate in meaningful activities and daily routines
Qualifications
Must be at least 21 years of age
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance required
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Previous caregiving, healthcare, medical, DSP, CNA, PCA, or home care experience preferred but not required
Dependable, compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented
Ability to build positive relationships with individuals supported, families, and team members
