JOB SUMMARY: The Community Relations and Events Coordinator participates in the delivery of excellent healthcare services within a patient-centered medical home environment by serving as a liaison between Hope Christian Health Center (HCHC), community partners, and residents throughout Las Vegas and surrounding communities.
This position plans and coordinates community outreach, educational programs, health fairs, fundraising events, and engagement initiatives that increase awareness of HCHC services, strengthen community partnerships, and support organizational growth. The coordinator works collaboratively with internal departments, community organizations, vendors, volunteers, and stakeholders to ensure successful community engagement and event execution.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Community Engagement
Plan, coordinate, and participate in community outreach activities, educational presentations, health fairs, and public events to promote Hope Christian Health Center and provide information regarding available services, programs, eligibility requirements, and access points.
Conduct targeted community canvassing in designated neighborhoods to increase awareness of services and community resources.
Coordinate outreach campaigns and community awareness initiatives while collaborating with internal departments to ensure accurate and current program information is available for community distribution.
Prepare and maintain outreach materials, promotional items, event displays, tables, and booth setups to ensure a professional and welcoming community presence.
Maintain records and reports related to outreach activities, event participation, referrals, community feedback, barriers to care, and engagement outcomes, while identifying opportunities for service improvement.
Event Planning and Coordination
Coordinate all aspects of community, fundraising, donor, and educational events, including logistics, timelines, task management, and implementation plans.
Manage event registration, setup, breakdown, material transportation, and on-site operations while coordinating with vendors, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners to ensure successful execution.
Monitor event budgets and expenditures as assigned and ensure responsible stewardship of organizational resources.
Assist with securing sponsorships, in-kind donations, and community support for designated fundraising and outreach events.
Coordinate volunteer recruitment, scheduling, training, and event assignments.
Conduct post-event evaluations and prepare reports outlining attendance, outcomes, opportunities, and recommendations for improvement.
Community Partnerships
Establish, maintain, and expand relationships with community organizations, schools, faith-based organizations, nonprofit agencies, businesses, social service providers, and government entities; serve as a primary point of contact and coordinate partner participation in outreach activities, community events, educational programs, and collaborative initiatives.
Identify and cultivate new community partnerships that align with organizational goals, outreach strategies, and patient growth initiatives.
Coordinate partner participation in educational programs, outreach activities, community events, and collaborative initiatives.
Assist with scheduling community presentations, partnership meetings, outreach opportunities, and collaborative events.
Represent Hope Christian Health Center professionally within the community while fostering positive relationships and organizational visibility.

The Community Relations and Events Coordinator ensures compliance with all 19 Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Health Center Program Requirements.
The Community Relations and Events Coordinator is also expected to actively participate in, and support quality improvement activities and the clinical practice team efforts emphasize the importance of the individual patient and putting the patient’s needs first.

Requirements
Qualifications
Valid Driver’s License – required
Three-years of clear driving history – required
Proof of a registered vehicle for use – required
Fluency in Spanish – required
At least 1-year experience in outreach and community relationship building – preferred
Strong public speaking and presentation skills – required
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and community events as needed – preferred
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent – required
Bachelor’s in marketing, Communication, or similar field – preferred

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This role requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, driving, and local travel to community events, outreach activities, and meetings. The employee must be able to occasionally lift and transport outreach materials and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds, operate standard office equipment, and communicate effectively in person, by phone, and electronically. The position may require working outdoors in varying weather conditions and occasional evening or weekend hours to support community engagement and organizational events.
