Role Summary
The Assistant Director of Next Steps provides administrative and systems oversight, leadership support, and relational engagement for the Next Steps Director and the teams that help people take their next spiritual and relational steps at Lifepointe. Working within the Planning Center (PCO) database, Google Workspace, and Sunday environments, this role helps guide people through the Next Steps pathway, maintains healthy systems, and strengthens the ministry’s relational culture. The Assistant Director partners with the Director in developing teams and casting vision while managing workflows, communications, logistics, and ministry environments so guests can experience clear and seamless follow‑through and team members feel valued and cared for.
Core Responsibilities
Systems & Administrative Support
Maintain and update PCO workflows, forms, lists, and communication templates for all Next Steps teams
Process Connect Cards and ensure timely data entry
Manage Try5 workflows, communication, and reporting
Track onboarding steps for new guests and volunteers
Maintain inventory and materials for Next Steps, Baptism, Store, Discover Lifepointe, Prayer, and Events
Prepare materials and resources for Sunday and mid‐week needs
Support the Director with communication and administrative tasks
Assist with maintaining and tracking records of the Next Steps budget
Help create and maintain schedules for all NS environments
Relational Support
Engage with guests and help guide them in their next steps
Build relationships with team members, offering encouragement and clarity in their role
Help communicate and champion the vision of Next Steps
Partner with the Next Steps Director to create and maintain a culture of relational connection and spiritual growth
Lifepointe Store Support
Assist with managing inventory, ordering, restocking
Assist with new product designs along side Lifepointe’s Creative Dept
Work closely with product vendors
Maintain displays so that the store area is ready for Sunday sales
Lifepointe Events Support (Including but not limited to Discover Lifepointe, Funerals, and Spontaneous Baptisms)
Assist with planning, logistics, registration, communication, and follow-up in PCO
Prepare materials, décor, supplies, and volunteer assignments
Support setup, teardown, and on‐site execution when needed
Coordinate childcare lists and communication
Assist the Director during the event (check‐in, hospitality, admin tasks)
