This position requires the employee to be a professing Christian and to be willing to support the Christian mission of ACU. ‌ The Department of Engineering is seeking a qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach 2 sections of ENGR 317: Engineering Project Management during the upcoming Fall semester. This 1-credit course introduces junior-level engineering students to foundational project management frameworks, with an emphasis on preparing them for professional certification. The ideal candidate will combine practical industry experience while mentoring the next generation of engineers. Instruction: Deliver 2 sections of 1.5 hours of lecture per week, aligning course material with the PMI Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) to prepare students for workforce. Curriculum & Grading: Develop or adopt a course syllabus, create assignments, administer quizzes/exams, and provide timely, constructive feedback on student performance. Learning Management System (LMS): Maintain the course shell with up-to-date grades, lecture materials, and announcements. Compliance: Adhere to departmental policies, institutional grading deadlines, and academic integrity standards. Qualifications Required: Education: Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a closely related STEM field. Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience managing engineering or technical projects. Skills: Deep familiarity with standard PM methodologies (scope, cost, risk, schedule) and the PMI framework.
